We're looking for an experienced contract bookkeeper to provide professional, accurate, and timely bookkeeping, including payroll services for a range of clients.
You will be working within a remote team with autonomy and flexibility. We are a small team and, although remote, maintain a great, inclusive culture.
This is a part-time role, with approx. 15-20 hours per week to start, but we are experiencing continuous growth and as such, this role is likely to increase to 20-30 hours as time goes on.
This role would suit an intermediate bookkeeper who wants to be part of a team, with consistent income and wants to learn and grow as a bookkeeper. Given the expected growth of this role, it will most likely suit a bookkeeper not looking to expand their own bookkeeping business.
This role will be paid in line with the contractor rate in the most recent ICNZB Bookkeeper Rate Guide.
This is a daytime role and it is not suitable for someone looking for part-time work after hours or weekends. You will also be expected to have a dedicated work space with up-to-date computer equipment.
The ideal candidate will have worked in or with small or medium-sized businesses in New Zealand and will have worked across a broad range of bookkeeping duties using Xero and will have previous experience working in payroll.
You will ideally be a Certified Bookkeeper with the Institute of Certified NZ Bookkeepers Association and/or have completed bookkeeping or accounting papers.
The role involves working across a varied base of client accounts, so a working understanding and knowledge of day-to-day bookkeeping is essential, as is the ability to work across multiple, separate entities.
